Preserving the environment by empowering communities
The Little Earth is a pioneering environmental NGO dedicated to accelerating sustainable development and combatting climate change in communities across Tajikistan. With a focus on promoting renewable energy sources, energy efficiency, and resource-saving technologies, we empower local residents to mitigate the adverse impacts of climate change at the grassroots level.
Our initiatives prioritize the engagement of youth, women, and ethnic minorities, recognizing their unique roles in addressing climate justice issues. Through community-based approaches and action for climate empowerment (ACE), we build the capacity of local residents to independently adopt and advance sustainable alternatives tailored to their needs.
Little Earth's holistic approach extends beyond environmental protection and serves as a catalyst for socioeconomic development. Our efforts uplift the communities from poverty and improve the overall quality of life for those most vulnerable to climate change and socioeconomic disparities.
In collaboration with green public and initiative groups, we increase environmental literacy and advocate for civil society involvement in decision-making processes related to environmental protection.
As proud members of the Mountain Partnership, CAN EECCA, and the International Socio-Environmental Union, we actively contribute to global efforts to address climate change and promote environmental sustainability.
